MOL Fehervar FC U19 and Ferencvarosi TC U19 played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the Hungary U19 A League on Saturday, 19 September 2026, a six-goal spectacle that showcased the best of youth football. The match swung one way and then the other, with Ferencvaros fighting back from a two-goal deficit before a late equaliser rescued a point for the hosts.

Match overview

The game exploded into life early, with both teams showing a willingness to attack. MOL Fehervar took the lead with a well-crafted move, and when they doubled their advantage, it looked as though they might run away with it. But Ferencvarosi TC U19 responded with character and quality, pulling a goal back before half time and then drawing level early in the second half.

Ferencvaros then went ahead for the first time, only for MOL Fehervar to find an equaliser in a frantic finale. In the end, a draw was a fair result from a contest that had everything: goals, comebacks, and no shortage of drama.

Key moments

• Opening goal: MOL Fehervar struck first with a neat finish after a swift passing move down the right.
• Double lead: A second goal followed soon after, a powerful header from a corner that gave the goalkeeper no chance.
• Ferencvaros fightback: The visitors pulled one back before the break and then equalised with a low drive from outside the box.
• Third goal and late drama: Ferencvaros took the lead for the first time, only for MOL Fehervar to snatch a late equaliser and spark wild celebrations.

Tactical story

MOL Fehervar U19 started with a high-pressing system that forced early errors and allowed them to dominate the first 25 minutes. Their wide players were particularly effective, stretching the Ferencvaros defence and creating space for the midfield runners. However, as the game wore on, the hosts dropped deeper, and Ferencvaros took control of the middle third.

Ferencvarosi TC U19 showed great tactical discipline to come back. Their coach adjusted the shape at half time, pushing the full-backs higher and overloading the flanks. The change turned the tide, and their three goals were the reward for a much-improved second-half display. Both teams finished the game with tired legs but enormous credit.

Standout players

MOL Fehervar's attacking midfielder was the standout performer for the hosts, involved in all three goals with clever movement and precise passing. Their centre-forward also led the line well, holding the ball up and bringing others into play.

For Ferencvarosi TC U19, the captain in central midfield drove the comeback with relentless energy and a superb equalising goal. The substitute winger also made a big impact, causing problems with his direct running and delivering the cross that led to the third goal.

Table and season impact

Both teams will take positives from this result. MOL Fehervar U19 showed attacking flair but will be disappointed to have let a two-goal lead slip. Ferencvarosi TC U19 demonstrated resilience and character, qualities that will serve them well in the Hungary U19 A League campaign.

In the youth development context, matches like this are invaluable for teaching players how to handle pressure and momentum swings. The head-to-head between these two academies is always competitive, and this six-goal draw adds another memorable chapter. Both sides will now look to build on the performance in their next fixtures, with the reverse meeting later in the season already promising to be another exciting encounter.
