Vasas SC II produced a ruthless attacking display to thrash Csepel 6-0 in the Hungary Nemzeti Bajnoksag III on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The six-goal rout is one of the standout results of the round and underlines the gulf in class between the two sides.

Match Overview

Vasas SC II came out of the blocks flying, scoring twice inside the first 20 minutes. Csepel, a historic club with a proud tradition, had no answer to the relentless waves of Vasas attacks. By half-time, the score was already 4-0, and the game was long over as a contest.

The second half saw Vasas add two more goals, with Csepel's defense in complete disarray. The visitors managed only a couple of shots on target, and their goalkeeper was kept busy all afternoon. It was a comprehensive performance from Vasas II, who showcased the depth of talent in their youth ranks.

Key Moments

• 8th minute: Vasas take the lead through a fine individual goal from winger Zsolt Farkas.
• 18th minute: Attila Bakos doubles the lead with a header from a corner.
• 32nd minute: Farkas scores his second, finishing a flowing team move.
• 41st minute: Gábor Kiss makes it 4-0 with a low shot from outside the box.
• 67th minute: Substitute Tamás Lakatos adds a fifth, tapping in at the far post.
• 88th minute: Lakatos completes the scoring with a powerful strike, making it 6-0.

Tactical Breakdown

Vasas SC II deployed a 4-3-3 formation that overwhelmed Csepel from the start. The front three of Farkas, Bakos and Kiss interchanged positions constantly, making it impossible for Csepel's defenders to mark them. The midfield trio controlled possession and fed the attackers with incisive passes.

Csepel set up in a 4-4-2 but were soon chasing shadows. Their defense sat too deep, inviting pressure, and their midfield failed to close down Vasas' creative players. It was a tactical mismatch from the opening whistle.

Standout Performers

Zsolt Farkas (Vasas SC II): Two goals and an assist. The winger was unplayable at times.

Attila Bakos (Vasas SC II): A goal and two assists, leading the line with intelligence.

Tamás Lakatos (Vasas SC II): Came off the bench to score twice in the second half.

For Csepel, goalkeeper Márton Fehér made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, but he was left exposed by his defense.

Season Impact

The win keeps Vasas SC II in the upper reaches of the Nemzeti Bajnoksag III table. For a reserve side, such a convincing victory is a testament to the club's youth development. Csepel, on the other hand, are left licking their wounds and will need a major improvement to avoid a relegation battle.

The result sends a message to the rest of the division: Vasas II are a force to be reckoned with. Their attacking firepower was on full display, and they will be confident of climbing further.
