Tiszafüred VSE 0-2 Kisvárda FC II: Visitors Claim Clinical Away Win

Tiszafüred VSE suffered a 0-2 home defeat to Kisvárda FC II in Hungary’s Nemzeti Bajnokság III on October 3, 2026, as the visitors produced a disciplined and efficient away performance. Kisvárda FC II scored in each half and defended their lead with maturity, leaving Tiszafüred frustrated on their own ground.

The match was competitive for long spells, but the difference came in the final third. Tiszafüred VSE enjoyed periods of possession and won several corners, yet they struggled to create clear chances against a well-organised Kisvárda FC II defence.

Match Overview

Kisvárda FC II started brightly and took the lead in the 28th minute with a well-worked move. A quick exchange on the edge of the box opened space, and the finish was placed beyond the goalkeeper. Tiszafüred responded with pressure down the wings, but their crosses were repeatedly cleared by the visiting centre-backs.

The second half saw Tiszafüred push more players forward, which created space for Kisvárda to counter. The visitors sealed the win in the 67th minute with a clinical breakaway goal, effectively ending the contest.

Key Moments

• 28th minute: Kisvárda FC II take the lead with a precise finish from just inside the penalty area.
• 41st minute: Tiszafüred VSE force a diving save from a long-range shot.
• 55th minute: A header from a corner goes narrowly over the bar for the home side.
• 67th minute: Kisvárda FC II double the lead on the counter-attack.
• 84th minute: Tiszafüred’s late appeals for a penalty are waved away.

Tactical Story

Kisvárda FC II set up in a compact 4-4-2 shape without the ball, making it difficult for Tiszafüred to play through the middle. The visitors were happy to concede possession in wide areas and defend crosses, trusting their centre-backs to win aerial duels. When they won the ball, they attacked quickly through the channels.

Tiszafüred VSE’s build-up play was patient but often too slow, allowing Kisvárda to reset defensively. The home side’s best moments came from set-pieces, but they lacked a finishing touch.

Standout Players

Kisvárda FC II’s goalkeeper was calm and commanding, claiming crosses and making one important first-half save. The two goalscorers took their chances well, while the defensive midfielder broke up play consistently. For Tiszafüred, the left winger was the most dangerous player, but he was often isolated.

Season Impact

The win gives Kisvárda FC II an important away victory and boosts their position in the NB III table. Tiszafüred VSE remain in search of consistency at home, and this result will be a disappointing setback. The three points could prove valuable for Kisvárda in the battle for mid-table security or higher.
