Szekszárd UFC 1-4 Dunaharaszti MTK — Dunaharaszti MTK delivered one of the most emphatic away displays of the Nemzeti Bajnokság III round on 10 October 2026, hitting four past Szekszárd UFC in a match that was effectively decided long before the final whistle.

Match Overview

On paper this looked like a competitive fixture between two sides jostling for position in the Hungarian third tier, but on the pitch it became a demonstration of clinical finishing and relentless pressing from the visitors. Dunaharaszti MTK were sharper from the opening whistle, moved the ball quickly through the thirds, and punished every mistake their hosts made in a first half that set the tone for the entire afternoon.

Szekszárd UFC did manage a goal of their own, a consolation that briefly lifted the home support, but it never threatened to change the direction of the contest. By the time the final whistle blew, the scoreline reflected the true balance of the game.

Key Moments

• Early breakthrough: Dunaharaszti opened the scoring inside the opening exchanges, capitalising on a defensive lapse and immediately settling any nerves.
• Quickfire double: A second goal followed as the visitors turned the screw, squeezing the home midfield and winning the ball high up the pitch.
• Half-time cushion: By the interval the away side had established firm control, forcing Szekszárd into a reshuffle.
• Consolation goal: Szekszárd pulled one back with a well-taken effort, briefly raising hopes of a comeback.
• Closing the door: Dunaharaszti responded ruthlessly, restoring their margin and adding a fourth to complete the rout.

Tactical Story

The defining feature of this match was pressing. Dunaharaszti MTK defended from the front, denying Szekszárd's defenders time on the ball and forcing long, hopeful passes that were comfortably mopped up. Their midfield trio rotated intelligently, with one player always available as an outlet, which allowed them to transition from defence to attack in a matter of seconds.

Szekszárd, meanwhile, looked stretched. Their defensive line sat too deep at times and too high at others, and the space between midfield and defence was repeatedly exploited. When they did get forward they showed glimpses of quality — the goal being the clearest example — but the balance of the team was wrong for long enough that the game slipped away.

Standout Performers

The away side's attacking players will take the headlines, sharing the goals between them in a performance that underlined the depth of their squad. Their midfield engine was arguably the most influential figure on the pitch, dictating tempo and winning possession. For Szekszárd, the goalscorer and the goalkeeper were the only players to emerge with much credit, the latter making several stops to keep the margin from growing further.

What It Means

For Dunaharaszti MTK this is the kind of result that builds momentum and, crucially, goal difference — a factor that can decide promotion and relegation battles in a division decided by fine margins. For Szekszárd UFC, a home defeat of this size is a setback that demands a response, both defensively and in terms of mentality, in their next outing.
