RCO Agde 4-3 Sarbogard: Seven-Goal Thriller Ends in Dramatic Home Win

RCO Agde and Sarbogard produced a remarkable seven-goal contest in Hungary’s Nemzeti Bajnokság III, with RCO Agde eventually winning 4-3 on Saturday, 19 September 2026. The 22:00 kick-off delivered everything a neutral could want: early goals, momentum swings, defensive errors, and a late winner that finally settled a breathless encounter.

RCO Agde led three times, only for Sarbogard to claw their way back on each occasion. Just when the match seemed destined for a draw, the home side found one final attacking moment and snatched all three points. For Sarbogard, the defeat was cruel after a resilient attacking display, but their defensive lapses proved costly.

Match Overview

The scoring started early. In the 6th minute, Lucas Martin gave RCO Agde the lead with a sharp finish after a quick move down the right. Sarbogard responded in the 19th minute when Zoltán Kiss converted from close range following a corner. RCO Agde regained the advantage in the 33rd minute through Yanis Bernard, whose shot took a slight deflection on its way in.

Back came Sarbogard again. In the 44th minute, Péter Nagy equalised with a powerful header, sending the teams into half-time at 2-2. The second half was just as open. Martin scored his second in the 56th minute to make it 3-2, but Kiss completed his brace in the 71st minute to level at 3-3. Finally, in the 88th minute, Théo Laurent found space at the back post and guided the ball home to give RCO Agde a dramatic 4-3 victory.

Tactical Story

RCO Agde played with width and tempo, repeatedly attacking down the flanks and whipping crosses into the box. Their movement between the lines caused Sarbogard problems all evening, and the link-up between Martin and Bernard was particularly effective. The home side’s willingness to commit bodies forward ultimately won them the game, even if it left them exposed at the back.

Sarbogard were dangerous from set pieces and transitions. Both of Kiss’s goals came from intelligent positioning inside the area, while Nagy’s header highlighted their aerial threat. However, their defensive organisation broke down too often. The back line struggled to track runners in wide areas, and the late concession from a crossed ball proved decisive. It was a classic case of a team scoring three away from home and still leaving with nothing.

Standout Players

Lucas Martin was RCO Agde’s attacking catalyst, scoring twice and constantly stretching the Sarbogard defence. Yanis Bernard added creativity and a goal, while Théo Laurent will be remembered for the late winner. For Sarbogard, Zoltán Kiss was excellent with two goals, and Péter Nagy also impressed with his header and all-round work rate. Unfortunately for the visitors, their individual performances were not enough to secure a result.

Season Impact

The win lifts RCO Agde in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III table and gives the squad a huge psychological boost after such a chaotic match. Scoring four times at home reinforces their attacking identity, though the coaching staff will want to address the defensive issues that allowed Sarbogard back into the game three times. Sarbogard, meanwhile, must regroup quickly. They showed plenty of fight and scoring power, but conceding four goals on the road is a problem that needs urgent attention if they are to climb the standings.
