Majosi 4-1 Kaposvar: Dominant Home Display Secures Convincing Nemzeti Bajnokság III Win

Majosi produced a commanding performance in Hungary’s Nemzeti Bajnokság III, defeating Kaposvar 4-1 on Saturday, 19 September 2026. The 22:00 kick-off saw the home side take control early, withstand a brief Kaposvar response, and then pull away with a ruthless second-half display.

Majosi’s victory was built on high pressing, quick ball movement, and clinical finishing. Kaposvar, a club with a proud history in Hungarian football, struggled to cope with the intensity of the home side and were left to reflect on a difficult evening. The three points move Majosi forward with confidence, while Kaposvar must find a way to tighten up defensively.

Match Overview

Majosi started on the front foot and were rewarded in the 14th minute when Dávid Horváth finished a well-worked move with a calm strike into the bottom corner. The home side doubled their lead in the 29th minute through Balázs Szabó, who met a low cross at the near post and redirected it past the goalkeeper.

Kaposvar briefly threatened a comeback in the 51st minute when Attila Tóth scored from the penalty spot after a foul inside the area. That goal gave the visitors some momentum, but Majosi responded immediately. Szabó restored the two-goal cushion in the 67th minute with a fine individual effort, and Máté Farkas completed the scoring in the 83rd minute with a powerful header from a corner.

Tactical Story

Majosi set up with an aggressive 4-3-3, pressing Kaposvar’s defenders high and forcing mistakes in the build-up. Their midfield trio dominated the central areas, winning loose balls and quickly turning defence into attack. The first two goals came from exactly that approach: sustained pressure followed by quick, decisive passing in the final third.

Kaposvar tried to play through the pressure but frequently lost possession in dangerous areas. Their best spell came after the penalty, when they pushed more players forward and tested Majosi’s back line. However, the home side’s response was immediate and emphatic. By restoring their two-goal lead within sixteen minutes, Majosi killed any hope of a Kaposvar comeback and controlled the closing stages with maturity.

Standout Players

Balázs Szabó was the star of the show for Majosi, scoring twice and causing problems with his movement throughout. Dávid Horváth set the tone with the opening goal, while Máté Farkas capped a strong team performance with a late header. For Kaposvar, Attila Tóth took his penalty well and worked hard, but he received limited support in attack as the visitors struggled to sustain pressure.

Season Impact

This 4-1 win is a significant boost for Majosi in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III standings, adding three points and improving their goal difference. The manner of the performance will please the coaching staff, particularly the team’s pressing structure and ruthlessness in front of goal. Kaposvar, meanwhile, leave with plenty to work on. Conceding four goals away from home is a setback, and the club will need a strong response in its next fixture to avoid losing ground in a competitive division.
