Füzesabonyi SC vs Tiszaújváros match report: Füzesabonyi SC and Tiszaújváros shared the points in a 2-2 draw in Hungary’s Nemzeti Bajnokság III on 24 October 2026, with a late equalizer bringing a dramatic end to an open contest.

Both sides had spells of control, and both will feel they could have won it. Tiszaújváros twice took the lead, but Füzesabonyi SC showed character to come back each time, earning a draw that keeps the home side’s fighting spirit intact and leaves the visitors with mixed feelings.

Match overview

The game began at a good tempo. Tiszaújváros looked composed on the ball and tried to dictate the rhythm through their midfield, while Füzesabonyi SC pressed high and looked to win possession in the attacking half. That pressing approach created some early chances, but it was the visitors who opened the scoring with a well-timed run and a finish from inside the box.

Füzesabonyi SC responded positively. They pushed their full-backs higher, increased the speed of their passing, and found an equalizer before half-time. The goal came from a sustained spell of pressure, with the home side working the ball into a dangerous area and finishing with confidence.

Key moments

Tiszaújváros regained the lead in the second half after a quick break caught Füzesabonyi SC short at the back. The visitors’ midfielder carried the ball forward and picked out a runner, and the finish was clinical. At that point, Tiszaújváros looked in control and seemed likely to see the game out.

But Füzesabonyi SC kept pushing. They introduced fresh legs, moved the ball more directly, and forced a series of set pieces. The equalizer arrived late in the match, with the home side pouncing on a loose ball in the box and firing it home. The stadium erupted, and Tiszaújváros were left with little time to respond.

Tactical story

This was a game of contrasting styles. Füzesabonyi SC wanted to press, force errors, and attack quickly. Tiszaújváros preferred to keep possession, draw the press, and then play through the lines. Both approaches produced goals, and the balance shifted repeatedly as the match wore on.

The key tactical issue was the space in front of the back four. Both teams found it difficult to protect that area, and both midfielders were often caught ahead of the ball. That allowed quick counterattacks and created the kind of open contest that neutrals enjoy but coaches find stressful.

Standout performers

• Füzesabonyi SC striker: Helped lead the comeback with intelligent movement and a constant threat in the penalty area.
• Tiszaújváros midfielder: Dictated play for long spells and was involved in the build-up to the visitors’ second goal.
• Both goalkeepers: Made important saves in a game that could easily have produced more than four goals.

Table impact

The draw adds a point to both teams’ totals in the NB III standings. Füzesabonyi SC will take confidence from their resilience and their ability to respond to adversity, while Tiszaújváros will regret not holding on to a second-half lead. In a division where consistency is hard to find, this was a reminder that no result is safe until the final whistle. Both sides will now turn their attention to the next round, knowing that turning draws into wins will be key to their ambitions this season.
