Dunaharaszti MTK secured a convincing 3-0 home victory over Budaorsi SC in Hungary’s Nemzeti Bajnokság III on 17 October 2026, combining a fast start with a controlled second-half performance. The three points give Dunaharaszti local bragging rights and add valuable momentum to their league campaign.

Match overview

Dunaharaszti began the match on the front foot and needed only 11 minutes to take the lead. Their 4-2-3-1 shape allowed the wide players to stretch Budaorsi’s back line, while the central striker dropped into pockets of space to link play. Budaorsi tried to defend in a compact 5-4-1 block, but they were forced deeper and deeper as the first half progressed.

The home side’s pressing was especially effective in the opening 30 minutes. Dunaharaszti won the ball back quickly whenever Budaorsi attempted to play out from the back, and the visitors struggled to find any rhythm in midfield. Although Budaorsi improved slightly before the break, they rarely threatened the Dunaharaszti goalkeeper.

Key moments

• 11th minute: Bence Tóth opened the scoring with a composed finish after cutting in from the left flank. The move started with a quick throw-in and a sharp exchange of passes near the penalty area.
• 57th minute: Márk Szabó doubled the lead with a header from a corner. Dunaharaszti’s delivery was accurate, and Szabó rose above his marker to power the ball into the net.
• 84th minute: Dávid Kovács made it 3-0 from the penalty spot after a foul inside the box. Kovács sent the goalkeeper the wrong way and wrapped up a comfortable home win.

Budaorsi’s best chance came early in the second half when a quick counter-attack ended with a shot from the edge of the area, but the effort drifted wide. That miss proved costly, as Dunaharaszti scored their second goal soon afterwards and took full control of the contest.

Tactical story

Dunaharaszti’s midfield duo provided excellent protection for the back four, allowing the full-backs to push forward and support the attack. The home side repeatedly overloaded the flanks, forcing Budaorsi’s wide defenders into difficult one-on-one situations. When Budaorsi tried to narrow their block, Dunaharaszti switched play quickly and created space on the opposite side.

Budaorsi’s defensive approach was understandable, but their lack of possession made it difficult to relieve pressure. With the striker isolated for long periods, the visitors struggled to hold the ball up and bring teammates into play. Dunaharaszti’s patience in possession and their ability to win the ball back quickly turned the match into a one-sided affair.

Standout players

Bence Tóth was a constant outlet on the left and capped his performance with the opening goal. Márk Szabó led the line well and scored the crucial second goal, while Dávid Kovács controlled the midfield and converted the late penalty with confidence. The Dunaharaszti defence also deserves credit for a disciplined clean sheet.

What the result means

The win gives Dunaharaszti MTK an important boost in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III standings and strengthens their reputation as a difficult team to beat at home. For Budaorsi SC, the defeat underlines the need for more attacking ambition and better ball retention in away matches. Dunaharaszti will look to build on the result, while Budaorsi must find a response quickly in their next league fixture.
