Dorogi FC came from behind to beat Beech Sigit 3-1 in the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság III, turning a difficult start into a deserved home victory. The visitors took an early lead, but Dorogi responded with three unanswered goals to claim all three points at the Buzánszky Jenő Stadion.

Match overview

Beech Sigit stunned the home crowd by opening the scoring inside the first quarter of an hour. A quick break caught Dorogi’s defence off guard, and the visitors finished with confidence. For a moment, the match threatened to become an awkward evening for the hosts, but Dorogi kept their composure and gradually imposed their game.

The equaliser arrived before half-time. Dorogi increased the tempo, pushed their full-backs higher and began to win the ball back more aggressively in midfield. A cross from the left was only partially cleared, and the follow-up was driven into the bottom corner. That goal changed the mood and gave Dorogi a platform for the second half.

Key moments

Dorogi took the lead just after the hour mark. A clever pass between the lines released the attacking midfielder, who took a touch before finishing low past the goalkeeper. The home side continued to press for a third, and Beech Sigit’s attempts to respond left gaps at the back. The decisive third goal arrived in the closing minutes, a counter-attack finished calmly by the substitute forward.

Beech Sigit had their chances, particularly from set pieces, but Dorogi’s goalkeeper made one excellent save late in the first half and commanded his area well after the break. The visitors also had a penalty appeal waved away, but there was little doubt about the overall balance of play by the final whistle.

Tactical story

Dorogi’s comeback was built on better control of midfield. After conceding early, they stopped rushing their passes and started to use the width of the pitch. The wingers stayed high, the full-backs overlapped and the midfielders won the second balls that had been missing in the opening stages. Beech Sigit defended deep but struggled to hold possession, which invited wave after wave of Dorogi pressure.

Standout performers

Dorogi’s attacking midfielder was the standout, driving the comeback with intelligent movement and a well-taken goal. The substitute forward made an impact with the late third, while the goalkeeper’s first-half save kept the deficit manageable. For Beech Sigit, the early goal was a bright moment, but their midfield struggled to contain Dorogi’s rotations as the game wore on.

Season impact

Coming from behind to win 3-1 is a strong sign of character for Dorogi FC. It keeps their home record intact and adds momentum to their league campaign. Beech Sigit will be disappointed to have taken the lead and lost, especially after defending reasonably well for long spells. The result underlines how important it is to sustain pressure and concentration in a competitive division like Nemzeti Bajnokság III.
