Diosgyori VTK II 1-3 Ozd-Sajovolgye: Away Side Shocks Reserve Team

Ozd-Sajovolgye secured a valuable 3-1 away win against Diosgyori VTK II in the Hungary Nemzeti Bajnoksug III on October 11, 2026. The visitors scored either side of a Diosgyor equaliser to claim a convincing victory.

Match Overview

Ozd-Sajovolgye started brightly and took the lead inside ten minutes. Diosgyori VTK II, the reserve team of top-flight club Diosgyor, responded well and levelled before half-time. However, the visitors regained control in the second half, scoring twice more to secure a deserved three points. The result leaves Diosgyor II dangerously close to the relegation zone.

Key Moments

• 9' – Goal: Ozd-Sajovolgye opened the scoring with a fierce shot from outside the box that went in off the underside of the bar.
• 41' – Goal: Diosgyori VTK II equalised when their striker converted a penalty after a handball.
• 63' – Goal: Ozd regained the lead with a well-placed header from a corner.
• 88' – Goal: A breakaway goal sealed the win for Ozd, with their winger finishing calmly past the goalkeeper.

Tactical Story

Ozd-Sajovolgye set up in a disciplined 4-4-2, looking to soak up pressure and hit on the break. They conceded possession but created the better chances. Diosgyor II struggled to break down a deep defence and were often reduced to long shots. The penalty was their only real clear-cut opportunity. In the second half, Ozd's superior physicality and experience told, especially from set pieces. The third goal was a perfect counter-attack after Diosgyor pushed men forward.

Standout Players

Ozd's striker was a handful all game, scoring the opener and causing problems with his movement. Their centre-back was excellent in the air, scoring the second goal and winning everything defensively. For Diosgyor II, their young midfielder showed flashes of quality, and the goalkeeper made a few smart saves, but the team lacked a cutting edge.

Season Impact

Ozd-Sajovolgye climb into mid-table safety with this win, easing any early-season relegation fears. Diosgyori VTK II remain in the lower reaches of the Hungary Nemzeti Bajnoksug III and need to start picking up points quickly. Next week, Ozd host a mid-table rival, while Diosgyor II face a difficult away trip to a promotion contender.
