Final score: BKV Elore 0-1 Szegedi VSE

Match overview

BKV Elore started the brighter of the two sides, pressing high and forcing Szegedi VSE into several early defensive clearances. The home team’s best opportunity arrived in the 37th minute when they were awarded a penalty, but the Szegedi goalkeeper guessed correctly and made a strong save to keep the score level.

That miss proved costly. Szegedi VSE grew in confidence after the reprieve and began to find space in midfield. The breakthrough came in the 58th minute when Farkas received the ball on the edge of the area, shifted onto his stronger foot, and placed a low shot beyond the goalkeeper.

BKV Elore pushed hard for an equaliser in the final half-hour, sending more players forward and delivering a series of crosses into the box. Szegedi VSE defended deep and bravely, blocking shots and clearing dangerous balls to secure an important away victory.

Tactical story

BKV Elore controlled much of the possession but struggled to break down a compact Szegedi VSE defence. Their penalty miss changed the momentum of the match, and as they pushed forward in search of a goal, they left spaces behind for the visitors to exploit.

Szegedi VSE were organised and patient. They defended in numbers, limited clear sights of goal, and relied on quick counterattacks. Farkas’s goal was the reward for their discipline, and their ability to protect the lead in the closing stages showed why they are a difficult team to beat away from home.

Standout performers

Farkas was the obvious match-winner, but Szegedi VSE’s goalkeeper was equally important thanks to his penalty save. The centre-backs also deserve credit for their resilience under late pressure. BKV Elore’s midfield kept the team moving forward, but the missed penalty and a lack of composure in the final third proved decisive.

Season impact

The three points give Szegedi VSE a valuable away win in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III and boost their momentum in the league. BKV Elore will be frustrated by another match in which they created enough to take something but failed to convert their chances. In a competitive division, those missed opportunities can quickly become the difference between a strong season and a difficult one.
