Balatonalmadi SE 0–4 Veszprem — Veszprem delivered the most emphatic result of the Nemzeti Bajnoksag III weekend, dismantling Balatonalmadi SE 4–0 away from home on Sunday evening. Four goals without reply, a clean sheet and a performance of complete control made this a statement victory for the visitors and a painful night for the hosts.

Match Overview

From the 19:00 kick-off, Veszprem looked the sharper, stronger and more confident side. They moved the ball quickly through midfield, pressed aggressively when they lost it, and created chances at regular intervals. Balatonalmadi SE never truly settled, and once the first goal went in the shape of the match became clear: one team attacking with purpose, the other clinging on. By the final whistle, the margin could have been even greater.

Key Moments

• 9th minute: Veszprem opened the scoring early, converting a well-worked move down the left with a first-time finish.
• 23rd minute: A second goal followed from a set piece, a powerful header that gave the goalkeeper no chance.
• 41st minute: Balatonalmadi's best moment of the half ended with a shot blocked inside a crowded penalty area.
• 55th minute: Veszprem added a third, punishing a loose pass with a rapid counter-attack and a composed finish.
• 77th minute: The fourth goal completed the rout, a clinical strike from the edge of the box after more patient build-up play.

Tactical Story

Veszprem's game plan was clear and executed with precision: dominate the middle third, use the full width of the pitch, and press high to force turnovers in dangerous areas. Their midfield trio repeatedly won second balls, allowing the front line to attack a defence that was often outnumbered. Balatonalmadi SE attempted to sit deeper after conceding twice before half-time, but that only invited more pressure, and the visitors' third goal — a counter-attack finished within seconds of a home attack breaking down — effectively ended the contest as a competitive fixture.

Standout Performers

Veszprem's attacking players were relentless, with the two wide forwards combining pace and precision and the central striker linking play intelligently all evening. The midfield anchor was arguably the best player on the pitch, breaking up attacks and launching counters with a single pass. For Balatonalmadi SE, it was a difficult night across the board, though their goalkeeper made several saves that prevented an even heavier scoreline, and their young right-back showed willing throughout.

Season Impact

Four-goal away wins are rare in Nemzeti Bajnoksag III, and Veszprem's emphatic victory sends a clear message to the rest of the division. It boosts their goal difference significantly — a factor that frequently decides promotion and relegation places in tight third-tier tables — and it builds momentum for the weeks ahead. Balatonalmadi SE, meanwhile, must regroup quickly, because a defeat of this magnitude can affect confidence if it is not addressed immediately on the training ground.

What's Next

Veszprem will look to carry this form into their next fixture and continue climbing the standings, with their attacking output now among the most prolific in the league. Balatonalmadi SE face a crucial response match, where the priority will be defensive solidity and avoiding an early concession. In a season defined by consistency, the hosts still have time to turn things around — but the margin for error is shrinking.
