Match overview

Balatonalmadi SE started with a positive attitude, looking to use the width of their home pitch and put early pressure on Komarom VSE’s defence. The opening exchanges were fairly even, with both teams testing each other through crosses and set pieces.

Komarom VSE took the lead in the 22nd minute when Máté Szabó found space at the edge of the area and curled a composed finish beyond the goalkeeper. The goal settled the visitors, who began to control the tempo and limit Balatonalmadi’s room in midfield.

Balatonalmadi pushed forward after the break, but Komarom VSE defended with maturity and looked dangerous on the counterattack. The second goal arrived in the 71st minute, with Bence Tóth finishing off a quick move down the right. That effectively ended the home side’s hopes of a comeback.

Tactical story

Komarom VSE set up with a solid defensive structure and looked to strike through quick transitions. Their midfield protected the back four well, forcing Balatonalmadi SE into wide areas where crosses were easier to defend. When they won the ball, they moved it forward with purpose and found space behind the home defence.

Balatonalmadi SE had more of the ball in the second half but lacked penetration. Their attacks became predictable, and Komarom’s goalkeeper was rarely tested despite the home side’s territorial advantage. The visitors’ ability to score at key moments made the difference.

Standout performers

Szabó was central to Komarom’s win, not only for his goal but also for his link-up play between midfield and attack. Tóth’s energy and direct running caused problems throughout, while the Komarom goalkeeper made an important save at 1-0. For Balatonalmadi, the midfield worked hard, but the front line struggled to find rhythm.

Season impact

The victory strengthens Komarom VSE’s position in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III and gives them confidence ahead of their next fixtures. For Balatonalmadi SE, the defeat is a reminder that possession without penetration is rarely enough. They will need to find more creativity in the final third to move away from the lower part of the table.
