Tactical Story

Puskas Akademia played a possession-based 4-3-3, with Kleinheisler pulling the strings in midfield. Honved sat deep and looked to counter, which worked for the opening goal. However, once Puskas equalised, they took complete control. The home side's high press forced numerous turnovers, and their quick passing carved open the Honved defence repeatedly.

Honved's midfield struggled to cope with the movement of Simon and Sós, who dropped deep to create overloads. The penalty was a result of sustained pressure, and the free-kick was a moment of individual brilliance. Defensively, Puskas were solid after the early goal, with the back four limiting Honved to long-range efforts.

Standout Players

Laszlo Kleinheisler was the architect, scoring a brilliant free-kick and dictating the tempo. Andras Simon was a constant threat, while Bence Sós showed composure from the spot. For Honved, Balogh took his goal well but was isolated for much of the match.

Season Impact

This win lifts Puskas Akademia into the top four of the Fizz Liga, boosting their European ambitions. Honved remain in the lower half and are now without a win in three matches. The defeat intensifies the pressure on their manager, who will be desperate for a positive result in the next round.
