ZNK Donat Zadar Women 1-1 ZNK Agram Women: Adriatic Derby Ends All Square

ZNK Donat Zadar Women and ZNK Agram Women played out a competitive 1-1 draw in the Croatian Women’s First League on October 4, 2026, at Stadion Stanovi. Both teams had spells of control, and both will feel they could have won it. In the end, a point apiece was a fair reflection of a match decided by set-piece quality, midfield battles, and two goalkeepers who made important saves.

Match Overview

ZNK Agram Women started the brighter of the two sides, pressing high and forcing Donat Zadar into early mistakes. Their reward came midway through the first half when they took the lead from a well-delivered set piece. Donat Zadar responded after the break with more urgency, pushing their wingers higher and finding space between the lines. The equaliser arrived in the second half and set up a tense finish.

The final 20 minutes were end-to-end. Agram looked dangerous on the counter, while Donat Zadar built pressure through sustained possession. Neither side could find a winner, but the draw keeps both teams in the middle section of the Croatian Women’s First League standings.

Key Moments

• 27th minute: ZNK Agram Women took the lead from a corner, with a powerful header finding the net.
• 39th minute: Donat Zadar nearly equalised through a long-range effort that clipped the crossbar.
• 58th minute: The hosts levelled after a quick passing move down the left, finished with a low shot across goal.
• 74th minute: Agram’s goalkeeper produced a sharp save to deny Donat Zadar a second goal.

Tactical Story

ZNK Agram Women set up to press and disrupt Donat Zadar’s rhythm, and for much of the first half it worked. Their midfielders closed down quickly and forced long passes, while their set-piece delivery was a constant threat. However, as the match wore on, Agram dropped deeper and invited pressure.

ZNK Donat Zadar Women adjusted after half-time by using their full-backs more aggressively and overloading the wide areas. The equaliser came from exactly that pattern: a wide overload, a cutback, and a composed finish. Donat’s midfield began to win more second balls, but they left gaps behind when pushing for a winner.

Standout Performers

Donat Zadar’s central midfielder was influential in the comeback, setting the tempo and linking play. The left winger caused problems throughout the second half, while the goalkeeper made a crucial late save to preserve the draw. For Agram, the centre-back was strong in the air and scored the opening goal, and the goalkeeper kept her side level with a string of second-half stops.

Croatian Women’s First League Table Impact

The draw adds a point to both teams’ tallies and keeps them within touching distance of the teams above them. Donat Zadar will be encouraged by their second-half response, while Agram will be frustrated to have let a lead slip. With the Croatian Women’s First League season still offering plenty of opportunities, both sides will view this as a result to build on rather than a decisive setback.
