Rudes and Slaven Belupo played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in the Croatian Football League on September 19, 2026, sharing the points after a match that swung both ways. Rudes twice led, but Slaven Belupo showed resilience to equalise on both occasions and earn a hard-fought away point.

Match Overview

The game started at a frantic pace, with Rudes pressing aggressively and forcing early corners. Their pressure paid off when they took the lead midway through the first half, a goal that sparked wild celebrations. Slaven Belupo responded well, gradually settling into the match and equalising before the break with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Rudes regained the lead from a penalty, but Slaven Belupo refused to lie down and found an equaliser in the final twenty minutes. Both sides pushed for a winner, but neither could find a decisive third goal.

Key Moments

• Rudes opener: A swift counter-attack ended with a low finish across the goalkeeper.
• Slaven Belupo equaliser: A clever free-kick routine caught the Rudes defence napping.
• Rudes penalty: The home side were awarded a spot-kick after a foul in the box, converted confidently.
• Late leveller: Slaven Belupo scored from a corner in the 78th minute to make it 2-2.

Tactical Story

Rudes set up in a 4-4-2 with a focus on quick transitions, looking to spring their strikers in behind. Slaven Belupo preferred a patient build-up, using their midfield trio to circulate the ball and draw opponents out of position. The visitors’ equalisers both came from set-pieces, an area where Rudes struggled to defend.

Physically, the match was combative, with several crunching tackles in midfield. Referee decisions were met with protests, but the official handled the game reasonably well. Both managers made attacking substitutions in the final twenty minutes, highlighting their desire for all three points.

Standout Players

Rudes’ striker was a handful all evening, scoring one goal and winning the penalty. Their captain in midfield drove the team forward with tireless running. For Slaven Belupo, the centre-forward who scored the late equaliser was their best performer, while the left-back delivered excellent set-pieces throughout.

Season Impact

The draw leaves both teams in mid-table, but the performance will give Slaven Belupo confidence on the road. Rudes will feel they dropped two points after leading twice, and their defensive record from set-pieces will be a concern for the coaching staff. In a league where every point matters, this could prove a valuable one for the visitors.

Both sides now turn their attention to the next round, with Rudes aiming to tighten up at the back and Slaven Belupo looking to build on a resilient display.
