Seirines Grevenon Women produced a controlled and clinical performance on September 20, 2026, defeating Odysseas Moschatou 3-0 in the Greek Women's Super League. A goal in each half and a late third secured all three points in front of their home supporters.

Seirines Grevenon Strike Early and Late

The home side took the lead in the 18th minute and never looked back. Odysseas Moschatou struggled to contain Seirines’ attacking movement, and a second goal in the 55th minute put the result beyond doubt. A third goal in the 88th minute added gloss to a professional display. Seirines were dominant in possession and created the better chances throughout the contest.

The match was played with intensity, but Seirines’ quality in the final third proved decisive. Odysseas defended bravely at times but were ultimately undone by their opponents’ superior finishing and creativity.

Match Overview

Seirines lined up in a 4-3-3, with the front three pressing high and forcing Moschatou into early clearances. The midfield trio controlled the tempo, and the full-backs provided width going forward. Odysseas tried to sit deep and counter, but they struggled to keep hold of the ball long enough to relieve the pressure. The home side’s back four were rarely troubled, keeping a well-deserved clean sheet.

Key Moments

• 18th minute – Seirines take the lead: A crisp passing move ended with a low finish into the bottom corner.
• 55th minute – The lead is doubled: A header from a corner doubled the advantage and gave the home side breathing room.
• 88th minute – The third goal arrives: A late counter-attack was finished emphatically to complete the scoring.

Tactical Story

Seirines’ wide play was a constant source of problems for Odysseas. The wingers stayed high and wide, stretching the defence, while the full-backs overlapped to create overloads. When Odysseas did win the ball, they were quickly closed down by Seirines’ counter-press, which prevented any sustained attacking rhythm. The home side’s patience in possession was impressive, and they rarely gave the ball away cheaply.

Standout Players

The Seirines striker who scored twice was the standout performer, combining sharp movement with clinical finishing. The midfield anchor also had an excellent game, breaking up play and distributing accurately. For Odysseas Moschatou, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, and their captain worked hard in defence despite the difficult evening.

What the Result Means for the Greek Women's Super League

This win strengthens Seirines Grevenon Women’s position in the league and extends their strong home record. Three goals and a clean sheet will boost confidence ahead of a challenging run of fixtures. For Odysseas Moschatou, it is a tough defeat that leaves them searching for answers, particularly in attack, where they struggled to create clear chances. They will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the table.
