PAOK Saloniki Women delivered a professional 2-0 victory over Agia Paraskevi in the Greek Women's Super League, extending their strong form with a controlled performance at home. Two goals and a clean sheet reflected PAOK's dominance, although Agia Paraskevi defended stubbornly for long spells.

Match Overview

PAOK entered the match as clear favourites and played like it. They dominated possession from the first whistle, moving the ball quickly and stretching Agia Paraskevi's defensive shape. The visitors sat deep and tried to frustrate, but PAOK's patience and quality eventually told.

After taking the lead, PAOK managed the game maturely, never allowing Agia Paraskevi to build sustained momentum. The second goal effectively ended the contest, and PAOK saw out the closing stages with composure.

Key Moments

• First goal: PAOK broke the deadlock after a spell of pressure, finishing a well-constructed attacking move.
• Control established: The hosts continued to dictate the tempo, limiting Agia Paraskevi's possession.
• Second goal: PAOK doubled their lead, rewarding their dominance and putting the result beyond doubt.
• Clean sheet secured: PAOK's defence held firm, denying Agia Paraskevi any route back into the match.

Tactical Story

PAOK's attacking play was characterised by width and quick passing. Their full-backs pushed high, stretching Agia Paraskevi's defence and creating space for the midfielders to exploit. The visitors struggled to press effectively and spent much of the match chasing the ball.

Agia Paraskevi's game plan was clearly built on defensive resilience and counter-attacks, but they rarely managed to get enough players forward to threaten. When they did win the ball, their transitions were too slow to trouble PAOK's well-organised back line.

Standout Performers

PAOK's goalscorers took the headlines, but their midfield's control and the defence's concentration were equally important. Agia Paraskevi's goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, and their centre-backs worked tirelessly under pressure.

Table and Season Impact

The 2-0 win keeps PAOK Saloniki Women firmly among the leading sides in the Greek Women's Super League. A clean sheet and a comfortable victory will boost confidence as they continue their title challenge. For Agia Paraskevi, this was a tough away fixture against one of the strongest teams in the division, and the focus will be on taking points from more winnable matches.

PAOK's ability to win without hitting top gear is a sign of a mature team, while Agia Paraskevi will take encouragement from their defensive effort despite the defeat.
