Asteras Tripolis Women delivered a statement performance in the Greek Women’s Super League on Sunday, October 18, 2026, dismantling Odysseas Moschatou (W) 6-1 in a one-sided contest. The hosts combined sharp pressing with quick combination play and were already firmly in control by half-time.

Match overview

Asteras set the tone from the opening minutes, winning the ball high and forcing Odysseas into repeated defensive errors. The home side opened the scoring early and doubled the advantage soon after with a well-worked move through the left channel. A third goal before the break effectively ended the contest as a competitive fixture, although Odysseas continued to work hard and found a consolation goal in the second half.

The closing stages belonged entirely to Asteras. The hosts added three more goals as Odysseas tired, rotating the ball quickly and attacking the spaces left by a deep defensive block. The scoreline reflected Asteras’ dominance in possession, their greater intensity off the ball and the quality of their finishing in the final third.

Key moments

• 7th minute: Asteras take an early lead after a high turnover and a composed finish.
• 22nd minute: A quick passing exchange doubles the home side’s advantage.
• 39th minute: Asteras score their third before half-time to take complete control.
• 58th minute: Odysseas Moschatou pull one back with a rare attacking breakthrough.
• 67th, 78th and 86th minutes: Asteras add three more goals to complete the rout.

Tactical story

Asteras used a high press and aggressive full-back positioning to pin Odysseas back. The midfield rotated constantly, creating overloads on the flanks and allowing the forwards to attack the penalty area from different angles. Odysseas defended deep but struggled to clear their lines, and their occasional counter-attacks lacked support. Once Asteras scored the third, the match became an exercise in game management and goal difference.

Standout performers

Asteras’ centre-forward was at the heart of the performance, contributing goals and assists, while the attacking midfielder dictated the pace between the lines. The full-backs provided constant width and delivery. For Odysseas, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, and the consolation goal was a reward for the team’s persistence.

What the result means

The emphatic win strengthens Asteras Tripolis Women’s position in the Greek Women’s Super League standings and gives them a significant boost to their goal difference. Odysseas Moschatou will need to regroup quickly, particularly defensively, after a difficult evening against one of the league’s most ruthless attacking sides.
