Key Moments

The equaliser arrived before half-time and changed the momentum of the contest. Kifisias worked the ball wide and delivered a cross into a dangerous area, where a forward reacted quickest to level the score. From that point, the home side looked the more likely to take control.

The winning goal came in the second half after a period of sustained pressure. A driving run from midfield opened space, and a composed finish into the bottom corner gave the Aris goalkeeper no chance. Aris pushed for a response and had a late chance from a set piece, but Kifisias defended with maturity in the closing minutes.

Tactical Story

Both teams showed the hallmarks of well-coached academy sides: short passing combinations, aggressive pressing, and a willingness to play out from the back. Aris's early press caused problems, but Kifisias adapted by dropping a midfielder deeper to create an extra passing option and bypass the first line of pressure.

That adjustment proved decisive. Kifisias controlled possession for much of the second half and limited Aris to counter-attacks. The visitors remained dangerous on the break, but the home defence held its shape and protected the lead well.

Standout Performers

Kifisias's midfield engine was central to the comeback, driving forward with the ball and linking play intelligently. Both goalscorers showed composure beyond their years, while Aris's young forward impressed with sharp movement and a willingness to run in behind throughout.

Development Impact

For these U19 sides, results matter but development matters more, and both coaches will have taken plenty from a match played at a high tempo. Kifisias showed character to respond to conceding first, while Aris will look to manage games better after taking the lead. The win gives Kifisias momentum in the Greek U19 competition as they build toward the next stage of the season.
