Niki Volou claimed a solid 2-0 victory over Nestos Chrysoupoli in the Greek Super League 2 on Sunday evening, with a goal in each half ensuring a deserved three points. The win sees Niki Volou strengthen their position in the upper half of the table.

First Half: Niki Volou Break the Deadlock

Niki Volou started brightly and dominated the early exchanges. Their pressing game forced Nestos Chrysoupoli into several mistakes, and they took the lead in the 34th minute. A quick one-two on the edge of the box released Giannis Pasas, who slotted the ball past the goalkeeper with the outside of his boot. It was a goal of real quality.

Nestos responded well and had a spell of pressure before half-time. Their best chance fell to Stelios Tsoukalas, whose header from a corner was cleared off the line by a Niki Volou defender. The home side went into the break with a slender advantage.

Second Half: Nestos Push, Niki Seal It

The visitors came out with more intent after the break, looking to find an equaliser. They pushed numbers forward, but Niki Volou's defence remained resolute. The home side then sealed the win in the 72nd minute with a clinical counter-attack. Dimitris Kotsios raced clear down the left and squared the ball for Giannis Pasas to tap in his second of the match.

Nestos Chrysoupoli continued to battle, but they lacked the cutting edge to get back into the game. Niki Volou managed the closing stages comfortably, keeping possession and limiting their opponents to half-chances.
