Panahaiki-2005 produced the most complete performance of the round, brushing aside Pallixouriakos 3-1 in a match that combined attacking fluency with a brief defensive wobble that briefly threatened to make things interesting. Two goals in the opening half set the tone, and although the visitors pulled one back to reduce the deficit, the hosts responded with the composure of a team confident in its own game plan.

Panahaiki-2005 3-1 Pallixouriakos

Match Overview

From the opening whistle, Panahaiki-2005 looked the sharper side, moving the ball quickly through midfield and attacking the flanks with real intent. The opener arrived inside the first twenty minutes after a slick passing sequence carved open the Pallixouriakos back line. The second followed before the interval, a reward for sustained pressure and a series of corners that the visiting defence struggled to clear.

Pallixouriakos emerged from the break with renewed purpose and were rewarded for their improved intensity when they halved the deficit with a well-taken strike from the edge of the box. That goal briefly shifted the momentum, but Panahaiki-2005 steadied themselves, tightened their midfield and restored their two-goal cushion to close out a convincing victory.

Key Moments

• 1-0: A patient build-up down the left ended with a precise finish into the far corner.
• 2-0: A set-piece routine caused chaos in the box, and the loose ball was bundled home from close range.
• 2-1: Pallixouriakos' best moment of the match, a crisp first-time strike that gave the goalkeeper no chance.
• 3-1: The decisive blow, a counter-attack finished calmly with twenty minutes remaining to kill off the comeback hopes.

Tactical Story

Panahaiki-2005's game plan revolved around quick switches of play, pulling the Pallixouriakos midfield from side to side before attacking the space in behind. Their two-goal lead allowed them to sit slightly deeper after the interval and invite pressure, a decision that briefly backfired when the visitors scored. Crucially, the hosts recognised the danger immediately, pushed their defensive line higher and regained control of the midfield battle.

Standout Performers

The attacking unit as a whole deserves credit for a fluid and unselfish display, with the front three interchanging positions throughout. Pallixouriakos' goalscorer and their goalkeeper were the standout contributors for the visitors on a difficult afternoon.

Table Impact

Three goals and three points represent a statement result for Panahaiki-2005 in the Greek Gamma Ethniki, boosting both their goal difference and their confidence. Pallixouriakos will take some encouragement from their second-half response but will know that conceding twice before the break left them with too much to do.
