Aduana Stars 2–1 Swedru All Blacks — Aduana Stars continued their strong home form in the Ghana Premier League with a 2–1 victory over Swedru All Blacks at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park in Dormaa Ahenkro. The two-time champions produced a professional display, edging a competitive contest thanks to their sharpness in the final third and the unwavering support of a passionate home crowd.

Match Overview

Playing at home in Dormaa Ahenkro is one of the toughest assignments in Ghanaian football, and Aduana once again made their ground a fortress. The hosts started brightly, pressing high and looking to win the ball back quickly, and their early intensity was rewarded with the opening goal. Swedru All Blacks responded well, though, and the game developed into a genuinely open contest.

Both sides created chances after the interval, but Aduana's ability to convert in key moments — and to defend resolutely when required — proved the difference between the teams.

Key Moments

• Early breakthrough: Aduana took the lead with a well-worked move, the ball worked into the box before being drilled past the goalkeeper.
• All Blacks equaliser: Swedru responded with a determined spell of pressure, levelling with a strike that gave the home keeper no chance.
• Winner: The decisive goal came from a swift counter-attack, finished coolly to restore Aduana's advantage.
• Late drama: Swedru All Blacks threw bodies forward in the final minutes, forcing two excellent saves and a scrambled clearance.

Tactical Story

Aduana's game centred on aggressive pressing in midfield and quick, direct attacks. Their wide players hugged the touchline to stretch Swedru's back line, and the pattern of play consistently created space in the channels. Defensively, the hosts were well drilled, though they were occasionally caught out by the visitors' willingness to shoot from range.

Swedru All Blacks' manager made positive changes in the second half, introducing pace on the flanks and pushing an extra body forward. It made for an anxious finale, but Aduana's back four and goalkeeper stood tall when it mattered.

Standout Players

Aduana's goalscorers both showed excellent composure, but the standout performer was arguably their midfield anchor, who repeatedly broke up Swedru's attacks and set his side moving forward. The goalkeeper's late interventions preserved the win and underlined his importance to the side. For Swedru All Blacks, the winger who came off the bench made a genuine impact, and their equalising goalscorer showed the quality that makes them a threat in the division.

What It Means for the Table

Three points at home keep Aduana Stars firmly in the upper reaches of the Ghana Premier League table and reinforce the reputation of the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park as one of the most difficult venues in the country. Swedru All Blacks leave with nothing but can take heart from a committed away performance against one of the league's established powers. With several months of the campaign still ahead, both clubs will look to build on what this match revealed.
