Kalibi SC's best spell came after the hour mark, but by then the game was gone. Their goal was well taken, yet the defensive errors that preceded it highlighted the gap between the two sides on the night.

Standout players

Fuseini Yussif was the standout performer, scoring the opener and linking play intelligently. Abdul Karim's aerial threat and Hafiz Alhassan's direct running caused constant problems. For Kalibi SC, Ibrahim Musah was a bright spot off the bench, taking his goal well.

Season impact

The win keeps Real Tamale United in the upper reaches of the Ghana Division 1 table and reinforces their title credentials. Kalibi SC remain in need of points and will be concerned by the manner of the defeat. For RTU, the challenge now is to maintain this level of consistency as the season progresses.
