Tactical Story

RW Oberhausen U19 operated with a compact 4-2-3-1, sitting deep and looking to spring forward through the pace of their front three. They defended well for long periods, but their final pass was often rushed, allowing Duisburg to regroup. The visitors’ best spell came immediately after conceding, yet they could not find an equaliser.

Tim Berger’s late save underlined his importance in goal, while Elias Kroll controlled the tempo in midfield. For Oberhausen, Nico Weber was a constant threat on the counter, and their goalkeeper made several sharp stops to keep the score down.
