Playing at home in front of a healthy crowd, Omiya Ardija Ventus found themselves behind within the opening quarter-hour when Albirex Niigata converted a beautifully-worked free-kick. The early setback, however, only seemed to energise the home side, who gradually took control of possession and began to dictate the tempo.

Omiya’s comeback takes shape
