TSV Schwabmünchen 3-3 FC Deisenhofen: Six-goal Bundesliga 5 classic ends all square

TSV Schwabmünchen and FC Deisenhofen played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in German Bundesliga 5 on Saturday, 19 September 2026, with both sides trading blows in a match that swung one way and then the other. The 20:00 kick-off produced six goals, a series of lead changes and a finish that left neither team fully satisfied but both relieved to take a point.

In a division where fine margins often decide promotion and relegation battles, this was a reminder of how entertaining fifth-tier German football can be. Schwabmünchen showed character to fight back, while Deisenhofen proved again that they are capable of hurting any opponent with their quick attacking play.

Match overview

FC Deisenhofen made the brighter start and took the lead with a well-crafted opening goal. Their midfield pressed effectively and their forward line found space between Schwabmünchen’s centre-backs. The visitors doubled their advantage soon after, punishing a loose pass and converting with confidence.

TSV Schwabmünchen needed a response, and it came before half-time. A goal from a set piece gave the home side hope, and the momentum shifted immediately. Schwabmünchen equalised early in the second half with a fine team move, and suddenly it was Deisenhofen who were hanging on.

The game continued to flow from end to end. Schwabmünchen completed the turnaround to lead 3-2, but Deisenhofen refused to lie down and found a late equaliser to make it 3-3. In the final minutes, both teams had half-chances to win it, but neither could find a fourth goal.

Key moments

• FC Deisenhofen took the lead with a composed finish after a slick passing move through midfield.
• A defensive error allowed Deisenhofen to score a second, giving them a 2-0 advantage early on.
• TSV Schwabmünchen pulled one back before half-time from a corner, sparking the comeback.
• Schwabmünchen equalised after the break with a low shot from the edge of the box, then went ahead through a swift counter-attack.
• Deisenhofen grabbed a late equaliser with a header from a wide free-kick, securing a share of the points.

Tactical story

FC Deisenhofen’s attacking plan worked well in the first half. They used quick vertical passes and smart runs to get behind Schwabmünchen’s defence, and their two-goal lead was built on efficiency in the final third. However, their inability to manage the game after taking control proved costly.

TSV Schwabmünchen’s comeback was driven by a tactical adjustment. They pushed their wing-backs higher, won more second balls and started delivering early crosses into the box. The home side’s midfield also began to press more aggressively, forcing Deisenhofen into mistakes. It was a brave response, even if the late equaliser denied them a famous win.

Standout players

Schwabmünchen’s captain led by example, driving the team forward during the comeback and contributing a goal. The striker’s movement caused problems all evening, while the goalkeeper made an important save at 2-0 to keep the deficit manageable.

For FC Deisenhofen, the two-goal hero in the first half was their most dangerous player, linking play and finishing clinically. The midfielder who provided the late assist for the equaliser also showed composure under pressure, while the centre-back won several important headers despite the overall defensive struggle.

Season impact

The draw adds a point to both clubs’ Bundesliga 5 totals. TSV Schwabmünchen will take confidence from their fighting spirit, but they will also be frustrated by the slow start. FC Deisenhofen will be pleased with the attacking display and the late resilience, yet they will know that a 2-0 lead should have been protected better.

In a league where every point matters, this 3-3 result could prove valuable for both sides as the season progresses.
