FC Pipinsried cruise to 3-0 win at TSV 1860 Rosenheim

FC Pipinsried delivered a dominant away performance to beat TSV 1860 Rosenheim 3-0 in the German Bundesliga 5, handing the hosts a chastening defeat at the Jahnstadion. A goal in each half, plus a late third, underlined Pipinsried’s superiority in a match they controlled from start to finish.

The victory strengthens Pipinsried’s position in the upper reaches of the table and extends their impressive form on the road. For Rosenheim, it was a difficult afternoon that exposed defensive frailties and left them searching for answers.

Match overview

Pipinsried wasted no time in taking control. They took the lead in the 18th minute when a slick passing move cut through the Rosenheim defence, and the striker slotted the ball past the goalkeeper. Rosenheim tried to respond, but their build-up play was slow and predictable, allowing Pipinsried to press and win the ball back quickly.

The second goal arrived four minutes after half-time, effectively ending the contest. A corner was only half-cleared, and Pipinsried’s midfielder lashed a shot into the bottom corner from 18 yards. Rosenheim’s heads dropped, and Pipinsried added a third in the 82nd minute with a clinical counterattack.

Key moments

• 18th minute: FC Pipinsried take the lead with a well-worked team goal.
• 49th minute: Pipinsried double their advantage with a fierce strike from outside the box.
• 68th minute: Rosenheim’s best chance is saved brilliantly by the Pipinsried goalkeeper.
• 82nd minute: Pipinsried seal the win with a third goal on the break.

Tactical story

Pipinsried set up in a flexible 4-3-3 that became a 4-5-1 when defending, making it difficult for Rosenheim to find space between the lines. Their midfield trio dominated the centre of the pitch, winning tackles and quickly turning defence into attack. Rosenheim’s 4-2-3-1 lacked width and penetration, and their two central midfielders were often overrun.

The visitors’ high press was a key factor. Rosenheim’s goalkeeper was forced into several long clearances, and Pipinsried repeatedly won possession in dangerous areas. The third goal was a perfect example of their counterattacking threat, with three passes turning defence into a goal.

Standout players

Pipinsried’s striker was a constant menace, scoring the opener and setting up the third with an unselfish run and pass. Their central midfielder controlled the tempo and scored a stunning second. For Rosenheim, the goalkeeper prevented a heavier defeat with a string of saves, but few outfield players emerged with credit.

Table impact

FC Pipinsried move up the German Bundesliga 5 standings with this statement win, reinforcing their promotion ambitions. TSV 1860 Rosenheim remain perilously close to the lower reaches and must address their defensive issues quickly. The margin of defeat will be a concern for the coaching staff, while Pipinsried will take great confidence from a complete away performance.
