Match overview

As Neudrossenfeld dropped deeper, Bayern Hof continued to press for an equaliser and finally found it late in the game, heading home from a cross to complete the comeback.

Tactical story

The hosts retreated too far and invited pressure, allowing Bayern Hof to dominate the final half-hour and complete the fightback.

Standout performers

Neudrossenfeld’s forward caused problems throughout the first half and was involved in both goals. For Bayern Hof, the substitute midfielder changed the momentum of the match with his energy and forward passing, while the centre-back who headed home the equaliser delivered the defining moment of the comeback.

Season impact

Neudrossenfeld will feel two points slipped away after taking a 2-0 lead, while Bayern Hof will take confidence from their second-half response. In a competitive German Bundesliga 5 campaign, the draw could prove important for both sides, but the hosts will need to manage games better when protecting a lead.
