TSG Balingen 0-2 Bahlinger: Clinical Visitors Take All Three Points

Bahlinger secured a 2-0 away victory over TSG Balingen in the German Bundesliga 5 on Saturday, 24 October 2026, thanks to goals in each half and a disciplined defensive display. Balingen enjoyed spells of possession but were punished for failing to convert their pressure into clear chances.

The match was decided by Bahlinger’s efficiency. They defended in a compact block, limited space in behind and took their opportunities when they arrived. Balingen, by contrast, moved the ball well at times but lacked the final pass and the finishing touch in the attacking third.

Match Overview

Balingen started positively and looked to impose themselves on the game, but Bahlinger’s shape made it difficult for the home side to find gaps. The visitors took the lead against the run of play in the 23rd minute, capitalising on a loose pass and finishing with a low strike from inside the penalty area.

The goal changed the complexion of the match. Balingen pushed more players forward after the break, but Bahlinger remained dangerous on the counter. The second goal arrived in the 69th minute, effectively ending the home side’s hopes of a comeback. Balingen kept probing until the final whistle, but Bahlinger’s defence held firm.

Key Moments

• 23rd minute: Bahlinger take the lead after intercepting a loose pass and finishing calmly.
• 35th minute: Balingen’s best chance of the first half is headed narrowly over from a corner.
• 54th minute: Bahlinger’s goalkeeper makes a strong save to deny an equaliser.
• 69th minute: A swift counter-attack doubles Bahlinger’s lead with a composed finish.
• 84th minute: Balingen push bodies forward, but a last-ditch block preserves the visitors’ clean sheet.

Tactical Story

Bahlinger’s plan was clear from the outset: stay compact, concede possession in non-threatening areas and strike on the break. Their midfield screen protected the back four well, and their wide players worked hard to close down crosses. When they won the ball, they moved it forward quickly with direct passes into the channels.

Balingen’s build-up was patient but predictable. They struggled to break through the central block and were often forced to play sideways. Their best moments came from set pieces, yet they could not find the quality needed to beat a well-organised goalkeeper.

Standout Performers

Bahlinger’s goalkeeper was excellent, making key saves at important moments and commanding his penalty area. The goalscorers were clinical, while the centre-back pairing dealt with Balingen’s late aerial pressure confidently.

For Balingen, the midfield kept working hard and tried to drive the team forward, but the attacking players were starved of clear service. The home side will need to find more penetration in the final third if they are to turn possession into points.

What the Result Means

Bahlinger leave with three valuable points and a clean sheet, a combination that will boost confidence in the German Bundesliga 5. TSG Balingen remain with work to do after a frustrating home defeat, though their overall build-up play offered some encouragement for the matches ahead.
