SV Kirchanschöring secured a 2-0 away win over SV Schalding-Heining in the German Bundesliga 5 on 17 October 2026, combining clinical finishing with a disciplined defensive display. The visitors scored in each half and comfortably protected their lead.

Match overview

Kirchanschöring started with a compact shape and looked content to let Schalding-Heining have possession in harmless areas. The visitors took the lead on 23 minutes when Michael Stein capitalised on a loose ball in the box and finished with composure. Schalding-Heining tried to respond before half-time, but they struggled to create clear chances against a well-organised back line.

The second goal arrived on 67 minutes through Thomas Lang, who broke forward on the counter and finished confidently. That goal took the wind out of the hosts’ sails, and Kirchanschöring managed the remaining minutes with maturity.

Key moments

• 23' — Michael Stein gives Kirchanschöring the lead after a defensive mix-up.
• 41' — Schalding-Heining’s best chance of the first half is headed wide from a corner.
• 67' — Thomas Lang doubles the lead on the counter-attack.
• 79' — The hosts push forward, but Kirchanschöring’s goalkeeper makes a strong save.

Tactical story

Kirchanschöring’s game plan was built on defensive discipline and quick transitions. They defended in a narrow block, forcing Schalding-Heining to play wide, and then looked to break through the middle when they won the ball back. Both goals came from moments when the hosts were stretched.

Schalding-Heining had more possession but lacked penetration. Their crosses were dealt with well by the Kirchanschöring centre-backs, and their midfielders struggled to find pockets of space between the lines. The visitors’ ability to defend their box and counter with purpose made the difference.

Standout performers

Stein and Lang scored the goals, but the clean sheet was a team effort. Kirchanschöring’s goalkeeper made an important second-half save, while their defensive unit stayed composed under late pressure. For Schalding-Heining, it was a frustrating afternoon in front of goal.

What it means

The win gives Kirchanschöring a valuable three points and strengthens their position in the German Bundesliga 5 table. Schalding-Heining remain in search of consistency, and this home defeat will increase the pressure to find attacking solutions. Kirchanschöring, meanwhile, will take confidence from a professional away performance.
