TuS Dassendorf reinforced their title credentials with a commanding 4-2 victory over SC Vorwärts Wacker Billstedt in the German Bundesliga 5 (Oberliga Hamburg) on October 3, 2026. The visitors’ attacking firepower proved decisive in a match that showcased the gulf in class between the league leaders and a Billstedt side fighting for survival.

Match Overview

Dassendorf started brightly and raced into a two-goal lead inside the first 25 minutes, with their high pressing and quick combinations causing chaos in the Billstedt defence. The hosts pulled one back before half-time to give themselves hope, but Dassendorf restored their two-goal cushion early in the second half. A late Billstedt consolation was merely a footnote as the visitors comfortably saw out the win.

Key Moments

• 8' – 0-1 Dassendorf: Marvin Groth opened the scoring with a precise low finish after a slick one-two on the edge of the box.
• 22' – 0-2 Dassendorf: Groth turned provider, crossing for Nico Schmidt to head home from six yards.
• 39' – 1-2 Billstedt: Timo Bohn gave the hosts hope with a scrappy finish following a corner.
• 51' – 1-3 Dassendorf: Groth grabbed his second, racing clear and slotting past the goalkeeper.
• 68' – 2-3 Billstedt: substitute Kevin Lehmann reduced the deficit again with a fine individual effort.
• 84' – 2-4 Dassendorf: Fabian Lübcke sealed the points with a calm finish on the break.

Tactical Story

Dassendorf’s 4-3-3 was built on relentless pressing and rapid transitions. Their front three of Groth, Schmidt, and Lübcke interchanged constantly, making it impossible for Billstedt’s back four to maintain their shape. Billstedt attempted to sit deep and counter, but their midfield was overrun, and their two goals came from set-piece scrambles rather than sustained play. Dassendorf’s dominance was reflected in their 62% possession and 18 shots on goal.

Standout Players

Marvin Groth was the star of the show, scoring twice and assisting another. His pace and movement were unplayable at times. Nico Schmidt and Fabian Lübcke also impressed with goal contributions, while midfielder Jan-Philipp Rose controlled the tempo. For Billstedt, Kevin Lehmann made a positive impact from the bench, and goalkeeper Marc Weber prevented a more lopsided scoreline with several fine stops.

Season Impact

Dassendorf maintain their position at the top of the Oberliga Hamburg, sending a clear message that they intend to run away with the title. Billstedt remain in the relegation zone and face an uphill battle to survive. The gap between the two sides was evident, but Billstedt’s spirited second-half showing offers a glimmer of hope for the battles ahead.
