SC Hemmingen-Westerfeld 1-5 SC Spelle-Venhaus: Spelle Run Riot in Away Rout

SC Spelle-Venhaus delivered one of the statement results of the German Bundesliga 5 weekend, thrashing SC Hemmingen-Westerfeld 5-1 on Sunday evening. The visitors were sharper, faster and far more clinical throughout, turning a competitive opening period into a one-sided contest by the final whistle.

Hemmingen-Westerfeld’s home supporters saw their side score first, but the lead lasted only briefly before Spelle-Venhaus took complete control. The five-goal response underlined the visitors’ attacking quality and left the home side with serious defensive questions to answer.

Match Overview

Hemmingen-Westerfeld started brightly and took the lead through Nico Behrens, whose finish rewarded a confident opening spell. Rather than retreating, Spelle-Venhaus responded with immediate intensity. Lennart Vogt equalised soon after and then added a second as the visitors began to find space between the home side’s midfield and defence.

By half-time, Spelle-Venhaus were firmly in command. Jonas Frese added a third after a flowing move, and the visitors’ pressing continued to force Hemmingen into errors. The second half was more of the same, with Mats Brinker and Tim Schulte completing the scoring and capping a ruthless team performance.

Key Moments

• Early setback: Nico Behrens gave Hemmingen-Westerfeld the lead against the run of later play.
• Vogt double: Lennart Vogt’s two goals turned the match decisively in Spelle’s favour.
• Fluid third: Jonas Frese finished a slick passing move to make it 3-1.
• Late punishment: Mats Brinker and Tim Schulte added further goals as Hemmingen faded.

The most damaging period for the home side came either side of half-time. Spelle-Venhaus scored at crucial moments and never allowed Hemmingen-Westerfeld to settle, turning a promising start into a difficult evening.

Tactical Story

Spelle-Venhaus were aggressive in their pressing and quick to contest every loose ball. Their midfield kept Hemmingen under constant pressure, and when they won possession, they moved forward with purpose. The front line stretched the home defence, creating room for runners from deeper positions.

Hemmingen-Westerfeld tried to play out from the back, but repeated turnovers proved costly. Once Spelle took the lead, the home side’s shape became increasingly stretched, and the visitors exploited the gaps with direct, confident attacking play.

Standout Players

Lennart Vogt was the headline performer with two well-taken goals and constant movement that unsettled the Hemmingen back line. Jonas Frese controlled the tempo in midfield, while Mats Brinker and Tim Schulte made the most of their chances late on. Nico Behrens deserved credit for Hemmingen’s goal, but the home side lacked the collective response needed after falling behind.

Season Impact

For SC Spelle-Venhaus, the win is a major boost to both confidence and goal difference. A 5-1 away victory sends a clear message to the rest of the German Bundesliga 5 and strengthens their position among the division’s more dangerous attacking teams. Hemmingen-Westerfeld, by contrast, will need to regroup quickly. Conceding five goals at home will force a close look at their defensive organisation and their ability to manage spells of pressure.
