Plauen take early lead

The visitors started with confidence and took the lead in the 14th minute. A sweeping move down the right ended with a cut‑back that was fired home by VFC captain Maximilian Dressler. Eintracht struggled to find their rhythm in the opening half‑hour, with Plauen’s midfield dominating possession. Eintracht fight back

The goal lifted the home crowd, and Eintracht pushed for a winner. Plauen nearly snatched it themselves on the counter, but Eintracht keeper Jonas Bergmann made a crucial save in the 81st minute. The match seemed destined for a draw until the fourth minute of added time, when substitute Philipp Adler met a cross at the far post and nodded home to spark wild celebrations.

Season significance

RSV Eintracht move up to 4th place, now only three points behind the league leaders with matches running out. VFC Plauen drop to 6th, missing a chance to close the gap on the promotion spots. The late defeat will be a bitter pill for Plauen, who had defended well for most of the match.
