Tactical Story

FC Anker Wismar set up to absorb pressure and hit Lichtenberg 47 on the break. Their midfield stayed compact, forcing Lichtenberg into wide areas where crosses were easier to defend. Once Wismar won the ball, they moved it forward quickly, often finding Behrens in space between the full-back and centre-back.

Lichtenberg 47 enjoyed more possession but struggled to create clear chances against a deep and organised defensive block. Their penalty gave them a route back into the game, but they were caught ball-watching at the corner for Wismar's third goal. It was a lesson in how costly small lapses can be in the German Bundesliga 5.

Standout Players

Lukas Behrens was the clear man of the match for FC Anker Wismar, scoring twice and leading the line with intelligence. Niklas Jahn's late header capped a solid defensive performance, while the Wismar goalkeeper made two important saves at 2-0 to preserve the lead. For Lichtenberg 47, Kevin Schulz was the most positive performer, scoring from the spot and trying to spark attacks from midfield.

Table Impact and What's Next

The away win moves FC Anker Wismar upward in the German Bundesliga 5 standings and reinforces their reputation as a dangerous counterattacking side. Lichtenberg 47, meanwhile, remain in the lower half and will need to turn possession into goals if they are to climb the table.

Wismar will now look to make home advantage count in their next fixture. Lichtenberg 47 face a crucial run of matches and must improve their defending from set pieces after conceding from a corner here.
