Hünfelder SV secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Rot-Weiss Hadamar in their German Bundesliga 5 clash on September 19, 2026. The home side’s disciplined performance earned them all three points in a match that was more competitive than the scoreline suggests.

Match Overview

At the Hünfelder Sportpark, the hosts took on a Hadamar side known for their resilience. The game was decided by two second-half goals, as Hünfelder broke down a stubborn defence with patience and precision. The win keeps them in contention for a promotion play-off spot.

First Half Struggles

The opening 45 minutes were a cagey affair. Hadamar sat deep, looking to frustrate the hosts, while Hünfelder struggled to find space in the final third. The best chance of the half fell to Hünfelder’s Jonas Schmidt, but his header was cleared off the line. At the break, it remained goalless.

Key Moments

• 54' — Max Wagner breaks the deadlock with a low shot from 18 yards.
• 72' — Substitute Tim Keller doubles the lead with a close-range tap-in.
• 88' — Hadamar’s best chance falls to Felix Braun, but he fires wide.

Tactical Story

Hünfelder’s manager switched to a more direct approach in the second half, pushing the wingers higher and encouraging crosses into the box. The introduction of Tim Keller added fresh legs and a focal point in attack. Hadamar’s defensive block eventually cracked under the sustained pressure, and their attempts to counter were snuffed out by a well-organised Hünfelder back four.

Standout Players

Max Wagner was instrumental, not only scoring the opener but also driving his team forward from midfield. Defensively, captain Stefan Reuter was a rock, winning every aerial duel. For Hadamar, goalkeeper Nico Hartmann kept the score respectable with a string of saves.

Season Impact

With this result, Hünfelder SV climbs into the top five of the German Bundesliga 5, while Rot-Weiss Hadamar remain in mid-table. The win gives Hünfelder momentum as they aim for a strong finish to the season.
