FSV Pfaffenhofen produced the standout attacking display of the round, beating FC Deisenhofen 4-2 in a six-goal thriller in the fifth tier of German football. On a night when the visitors twice threatened to make a contest of it, Pfaffenhofen's cutting edge in the final third proved decisive.

Match Overview

Kicking off at 20:00, the game was open almost from the first whistle. Pfaffenhofen set the tone with a high tempo and a willingness to commit numbers into the penalty area, while Deisenhofen looked to exploit the space that approach inevitably left behind. The result was a match that swung end to end, with chances arriving at both goals throughout the 90 minutes.

Four goals for the home side represents a significant statement of intent. Pfaffenhofen's attacking rotations caused persistent problems for the Deisenhofen back line, and the home crowd was treated to the kind of fluent, confident football that has been a hallmark of their better performances this season.

How the Goals Came

Pfaffenhofen opened the scoring early, converting a quick attacking sequence down the right with a finish that set the tone for the evening. They doubled their advantage before the break, again through patient build-up that pulled the Deisenhofen defence out of position before the ball was delivered into the danger zone.

Deisenhofen refused to go quietly. They pulled one back either side of Pfaffenhofen's third goal, keeping the game alive and briefly threatening a comeback. But the home side's fourth — a goal that capped their best passage of play — finally put the result beyond doubt, even as Deisenhofen continued to push forward in the closing minutes.

Tactical Story

• Pfaffenhofen's strength: Rapid ball circulation and aggressive overloads in wide areas. They consistently created two-on-one situations and delivered early crosses before the defence could set.
• Deisenhofen's threat: The counter-attack. Their two goals came from direct, vertical play that exposed Pfaffenhofen's high defensive line.
• The difference: Finishing. Pfaffenhofen converted the bulk of their clear chances, while Deisenhofen's best openings fell to players under pressure.

Standout Performers

Pfaffenhofen's front line was the story of the night, with sharp movement and ruthless finishing across the four goals. Their attacking midfielder was central to almost everything, linking play between the lines and setting the tempo in the final third. For Deisenhofen, the two goalscorers deserve credit for keeping their side in the contest, and their goalkeeper made several saves that prevented an even wider margin.

What It Means

Victories like this do more than add three points. For Pfaffenhofen, a four-goal haul reinforces confidence in an attacking system that can be difficult for opponents to contain when it clicks, and it strengthens their position in a competitive fifth-tier table. For Deisenhofen, the defeat highlights the fine margins in this division: they scored twice away from home and still lost comfortably, a reminder that defensive solidity is as valuable as attacking flair.

The two clubs will meet again later in the season, and if the return fixture produces anything close to this level of entertainment, neutrals will be well served.
