A seven‑goal thriller at the Stadion Vogelgesang saw FSV Optik Rathenow edge past TuS Makkabi Berlin 4-2 in a pulsating Bundesliga 5 encounter. The home side’s attacking flair proved too much for a Makkabi team that fought hard but ultimately fell short.

Makkabi pushed forward but could not find a third, and Rathenow’s defence, led by Fabian Giesler, stood firm.

Rathenow’s victory lifts them to 5th place, keeping alive their outside hopes of promotion. TuS Makkabi Berlin drop to 13th and now face a nervous run‑in to avoid the relegation playoff places.
