Hallen claimed a hard-fought 2-1 away victory at FC Frankfurt in German Bundesliga 5 on Saturday, 24 October 2026, with a late goal settling a tightly contested match. The win gives Hallen three valuable points on the road and leaves FC Frankfurt frustrated after an improved second-half display.

Match overview

Hallen started the brighter of the two sides and took the lead in the 18th minute when a quick break down the right ended with a low cross converted at the near post. FC Frankfurt responded well, gradually settling into the game and creating chances before the break, but they were unable to find an equaliser in the first half.

The hosts continued to push after the interval and were rewarded in the 49th minute when a corner was headed home to level the score. The game became more open, with both sides trading chances. Just as it looked like the points would be shared, Hallen found a winner in the 87th minute. A clever flick released their striker, who rounded the goalkeeper and slotted into an empty net. Frankfurt pressed for a late response, but Hallen defended resolutely.

Key moments

• 18th minute: Hallen take the lead with a low finish from a right-sided attack.
• 49th minute: FC Frankfurt equalise with a header from a corner.
• 71st minute: Both goalkeepers make important saves as the game opens up.

Tactical story

Hallen were content to defend in a mid-block and attack through quick transitions, a strategy that worked well in the first half. FC Frankfurt dominated possession for long spells but struggled to break down a disciplined back line. The hosts’ equaliser came from a set piece, but they were caught out late when they committed too many players forward in search of a winner.

Standout players

Hallen’s striker was the match-winner, showing pace and composure for the decisive goal. Their central midfielder controlled the tempo and provided the assist for the opener. FC Frankfurt’s goalkeeper made several strong saves to keep his side level for long periods, while their captain drove the midfield effort but could not prevent the late sucker punch.

Season impact

The away win lifts Hallen’s confidence and adds an important result to their Bundesliga 5 campaign. FC Frankfurt will be disappointed to lose at home after fighting back into the game, and they must tighten up in the closing stages. The result leaves both sides with plenty to work on as the season progresses, but Hallen will enjoy the journey home.
