The result gives Aumund-Vegesack a major confidence boost and leaves Eiche Horn searching for answers after a home performance that mixed flashes of quality with defensive fragility.

Tactical Story

Aumund-Vegesack’s victory was built on aggressive pressing and quick vertical transitions. Their midfield won the majority of second balls, and their wide players consistently stretched Eiche Horn’s back line. Whenever Eiche Horn tried to build from the back, Aumund-Vegesack’s forward line cut off passing lanes and forced hurried clearances.

Eiche Horn had spells of possession and scored twice, but they struggled to protect the space in behind their defence. The home side’s attempts to push men forward in the second half only created more room for Aumund-Vegesack to exploit on the counter.

Standout Players

Aumund-Vegesack’s centre-forward Jonas Petersen was the game’s outstanding performer, scoring twice and linking play effectively. Midfielder Luca Brandt controlled the tempo and added a goal of his own, while winger Nico Köhler caused constant problems with his direct running.

For Eiche Horn, Finn Albrecht was the brightest attacking outlet and scored both of his team’s goals. Goalkeeper Lars Mertens made several saves to keep the score from becoming even more one-sided, but he was left exposed too often by his defence.

Season Impact

The three points lift Aumund-Vegesack into a healthier position in the German Bundesliga 5 standings and underline their potential to challenge for a top-half finish. For Eiche Horn, the 5-2 defeat highlights the need for defensive improvement, especially at home, where they have now conceded too many clear chances.

Aumund-Vegesack will look to carry this attacking momentum into their next fixture, while Eiche Horn must regroup quickly before the gap to the teams above them grows wider.
