Blumenthaler SV produced a commanding performance in the German Bundesliga 5 on 17 October 2026, defeating TS Woltmershausen 4-0 at home. The scoreline reflected the hosts’ control from the opening exchanges, with Blumenthaler setting the tempo, winning the midfield battle and converting their best chances in a one-sided match report that will please their supporters.

Match overview

Played under the floodlights with a 19:00 kick-off, the contest quickly settled into a pattern. Blumenthaler pressed high, forced Woltmershausen into rushed clearances and recycled possession efficiently in the attacking half. The visitors defended in numbers but struggled to keep the ball long enough to relieve pressure, and once the first goal arrived the home side looked capable of adding more.

Blumenthaler’s shape remained disciplined even as they pushed forward. The full-backs provided width, the midfield protected the centre and the front line moved intelligently between the lines. Woltmershausen, by contrast, were left chasing the game for long spells and found it difficult to create clear openings against a compact home defence.

Key moments

• Blumenthaler opened the scoring after sustained early pressure, converting from close range after a well-worked attacking move.
• A second goal before half-time gave the hosts a cushion and forced Woltmershausen to rethink their defensive approach.
• Early in the second half, Blumenthaler added a third with a swift transition that exposed the visitors’ stretched back line.
• The fourth goal late in the game completed a convincing victory and underlined the hosts’ superiority in the final third.

Tactical story

The match was decided by Blumenthaler’s ability to dominate the ball without leaving themselves exposed. Their midfield won most of the second balls, and their wide players consistently found space behind the Woltmershausen full-backs. The visitors attempted to sit deeper after conceding, but that only invited more pressure and made it harder for them to mount a response.

Woltmershausen’s best moments came on the counter-attack, but those were rare. Too often their forward passes were cut out, and when they did reach the final third, the final ball lacked precision. Blumenthaler’s defensive line stepped up well, catching the away side offside and limiting space behind the defence.

Standout performers and standings impact

Blumenthaler’s centre-forward led the line effectively, holding up play and bringing teammates into the match, while the midfield unit controlled the rhythm throughout. The home goalkeeper was rarely tested but remained alert when Woltmershausen threatened briefly after the restart. For the visitors, the defenders worked hard under pressure, but the team as a whole could not find the quality needed to stay in the contest.

The 4-0 result gives Blumenthaler a strong boost in the Bundesliga 5 table and reinforces their reputation as a difficult side to face at home. For TS Woltmershausen, the focus will quickly turn to tightening the defence and finding more composure in possession ahead of their next fixture. Blumenthaler, meanwhile, will look to carry the same intensity into their next match.
