Bremerhaven delivered a dominant 3-0 away win at Aumund-Vegesack in German Bundesliga 5 on 24 October 2026, scoring in each half and never allowing the hosts to settle into the match.

The visitors took the lead early, in the 12th minute, when Tim Kruse found space between the centre-backs and finished low past the goalkeeper. Aumund-Vegesack tried to respond, but Bremerhaven’s pressing was aggressive and well organised, forcing the home side into rushed passes and long clearances. The away team controlled the remainder of the first half without adding a second goal.

Match overview

Bremerhaven doubled their advantage in the 49th minute through Jannik Peters, who converted from close range after a corner was only half-cleared. The goal deflated the home side, and the visitors continued to dictate play. Kruse added his second and Bremerhaven’s third in the 73rd minute, finishing a swift counter-attack with a composed strike into the bottom corner. Aumund-Vegesack never found a way back into the contest.

Key moments

• 49’ — Jannik Peters scores from a corner to make it 2-0.

Tactical story

Bremerhaven’s 4-3-3 worked effectively both with and without the ball. Out of possession, their front three pressed Aumund-Vegesack’s centre-backs, cutting off easy passes into midfield. In possession, they moved the ball quickly and used the width to stretch the home defence. Aumund-Vegesack attempted to play out from the back but repeatedly lost the ball in dangerous areas, and their midfield struggled to track Bremerhaven’s runners.

Standout players

Kruse was the standout performer, scoring twice and leading the pressing line with energy. Peters was also influential in midfield, winning the ball back and arriving in the box for the second goal. Bremerhaven’s goalkeeper had a quiet but focused afternoon, claiming crosses well to preserve the clean sheet. For Aumund-Vegesack, the centre-back pairing worked hard but were exposed too often.

Season impact

The three points strengthen Bremerhaven’s position in the German Bundesliga 5 standings and underline their quality on the road. For Aumund-Vegesack, the home defeat is a reminder of the importance of ball retention against pressing teams. Bremerhaven will look to carry this attacking momentum forward, while the hosts must regroup quickly.
