The French U19 Youth League continued on Sunday 4 October 2026 with a full slate of fixtures, and the evening kick-offs delivered goals, comebacks and one of the most clinical away performances of the weekend. Amiens U19 welcomed Racing Levallois U19 to the Picardy region hoping to build momentum at home, but left empty-handed after a chastening 0-3 defeat that underlined the visitors' quality in both boxes.

Amiens U19 0-3 Racing Levallois U19 — Match Overview

Racing Levallois U19 produced the complete away performance in this Championnat National U19 encounter, scoring three unanswered goals and keeping a clean sheet against an Amiens side that struggled to find any rhythm in the final third. The visitors controlled the tempo from the opening exchanges, pressing high and forcing Amiens into hurried clearances, and the scoreline reflected a game that was rarely in doubt once the first goal arrived.

The result moves Racing Levallois into a healthier position in the standings, while Amiens U19 are left to reflect on a home display in which defensive concentration and finishing quality both fell short of the standard required at this level.

Key Moments

• Opening goal: Racing Levallois broke the deadlock in the first half after a sustained spell of possession, finishing calmly from inside the penalty area after Amiens failed to clear a recycled cross.
• Second goal: A quick transition punished Amiens minutes later, with the visitors doubling their lead on the counter-attack before the hosts could reorganise.
• Third goal: The game was effectively settled in the second half when Racing Levallois added a third, capping a move that started with a turnover in midfield.
• Amiens chances: The hosts' best opportunities came from set pieces, but a combination of brave goalkeeping and last-ditch defending kept them off the scoresheet.

Tactical Story

Amiens set up in a compact shape hoping to spring quick counters through the wide areas, but the plan unravelled once Racing Levallois took the lead. The visitors' midfield trio pressed aggressively, cutting off the passing lane into Amiens' central striker and forcing long balls that were comfortably dealt with by the away defence. Levallois were also ruthless in transition: every turnover in midfield seemed to develop into a shooting opportunity within seconds.

For Amiens, the challenge now is defensive resilience. Conceding three goals at home is a significant setback, and the coaching staff will want to see a more disciplined block and better communication between the centre-backs and the holding midfielder in the coming weeks.

Standout Performers

Racing Levallois' attacking players were the difference-makers, with the wide forwards stretching the Amiens backline and creating space for the midfield runners. Their goalkeeper also deserves credit for a composed display, dealing confidently with crosses and set pieces to preserve the shutout. For Amiens, the goalkeeper kept the scoreline respectable with a series of stops, while the captain in central midfield never stopped working despite the scoreline.

Season Impact

Three points on the road in the French U19 Youth League are always valuable, and Racing Levallois will view this as a statement result. For Amiens U19, the focus shifts to damage limitation in the table and to rediscovering the home form that makes their ground a difficult place to visit.
