Paris 13 Atletico claimed a convincing 3-1 victory over FC Rouen in the French Championnat National on Saturday 17 October 2026, delivering a performance that blended early intensity with composed second-half control at Stade Charléty.

The result gave the Parisians a valuable three points in their push toward the upper reaches of the Championnat National standings, while Rouen were left to reflect on a night when they conceded at key moments and struggled to contain the home side’s pressing game.

Match overview

Paris 13 Atletico set the tone from the opening minutes, pressing high and forcing Rouen into hurried clearances. The hosts’ midfield kept the ball moving quickly, and their wide players repeatedly stretched the visitors’ back line. That early pressure produced the opening goal and gave the Parisians a platform to dictate the rhythm of the contest.

Rouen responded well for a spell and found an equaliser before half-time, briefly silencing the home crowd. But Paris 13 Atletico regained control after the break, restoring their lead with a well-worked move and then sealing the win late on as Rouen pushed men forward in search of a leveller.

Key moments

• 12th minute: Paris 13 Atletico’s high press forced a turnover, and a low finish from inside the penalty area gave the hosts an early 1-0 lead.
• 38th minute: Rouen equalised against the run of play, converting a rare clear chance after a quick transition down the right.
• 57th minute: The hosts restored their advantage with a patient passing move, finished neatly at the near post.
• 84th minute: Paris 13 Atletico sealed the points on the counter-attack, punishing Rouen for committing too many players forward.

Tactical story

Paris 13 Atletico’s 4-2-3-1 shape worked effectively, with the two holding midfielders screening the back four and allowing the attacking line to press aggressively. Rouen often looked to play direct football into the channels, but the home centre-backs dealt well with the aerial challenge and stepped up to intercept second balls.

The decisive tactical difference came in transition. Whenever Rouen lost possession in midfield, Paris 13 Atletico moved the ball forward quickly, using the space behind the full-backs. Rouen’s 4-4-2 block became stretched in the second half, and the home side’s superiority in one-on-one duels turned territory into goals.

Standout performers

The home side’s central midfielder was the engine of the performance, recycling possession and breaking up Rouen’s attempts to build momentum. Out wide, Paris 13 Atletico’s attackers caused constant problems with their direct running, while the defence recovered well after conceding the equaliser.

For Rouen, the goalkeeper made several important saves to keep the scoreline respectable, and their captain worked tirelessly in midfield. However, the visitors lacked the same cutting edge in the final third and were made to pay for their defensive lapses.

Season impact

The win strengthens Paris 13 Atletico’s position in the Championnat National table and adds momentum to their campaign. For FC Rouen, the defeat is a setback in what has been an inconsistent run, and the coaching staff will be eager to tighten up a defence that was exposed too often on the night.
