Lyon Duchere 3-0 Bourges in the French Championnat National 2 on 18 October 2026 delivered a controlled home victory. Lyon Duchere scored early, added a second before the break and completed the scoring late on to secure a comfortable three points.

Match overview

Lyon Duchere began with purpose, pressing Bourges high and forcing mistakes in the away side’s build-up. The breakthrough came inside the opening 20 minutes when a well-timed run into the box was picked out, and the finish was placed beyond the goalkeeper. Bourges tried to steady themselves, but they struggled to keep possession under pressure.

Lyon Duchere’s second goal arrived just before half-time. A flowing move through midfield ended with a shot from the edge of the area that took a slight deflection on its way in. The timing of the goal was a major blow to Bourges, who had been hoping to reach the interval with a manageable deficit.

Key moments

Bourges improved slightly after the restart, pushing more players into attacking areas and forcing a couple of saves. However, Lyon Duchere’s defensive shape remained intact. The home side managed the game well, slowing the tempo when needed and attacking decisively when space appeared.

The third goal came in the final 15 minutes. A quick counter-attack exposed Bourges’s stretched back line, and the finish was emphatic. It capped a professional performance and removed any lingering doubt about the result.

Tactical story

Lyon Duchere’s midfield dominated the central areas. They pressed in coordinated waves, cutting off passing lanes and forcing Bourges into hurried clearances. In possession, Lyon Duchere used the width of the pitch well, stretching Bourges before attacking through the middle.

Bourges’s attempts to play out from the back were repeatedly disrupted. When they did get forward, they lacked numbers in the box and found the home defence difficult to break down. Lyon Duchere’s balance between attacking ambition and defensive security was the key to the clean sheet.

Standout performers

• Lyon Duchere’s midfield controlled the tempo and won the key second balls.
• The opening goalscorer set the tone with intelligent movement and a composed finish.
• Bourges’s goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score down.
