Bresse Péronnas 01 and Concarneau played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw in the French Championnat National on September 27, 2026. Mamadou Camara gave the hosts the lead in the first half, but Thibault Rambaud equalised for Concarneau in the second period, ensuring both sides took a point from an evenly contested encounter at the Stade Municipal de Péronnas.

Match Overview

Bresse Péronnas 01 started brightly and looked to impose themselves with quick passes and aggressive pressing. Their efforts were rewarded in the 38th minute when Camara found space inside the box and finished neatly after a low cross from the right. Concarneau responded well before half-time, enjoying more possession and forcing a couple of saves from the home goalkeeper.

The visitors continued to grow into the game after the break and found the equaliser in the 74th minute. Rambaud timed his run into the penalty area perfectly and converted a driven cross from close range. Both teams pushed for a winner in the final fifteen minutes, but neither could find the decisive goal. • 56’ – Concarneau pressure: The visitors forced two saves in quick succession as they searched for an equaliser.

Tactical Story

Bresse Péronnas 01 set up in a compact 4-4-2 and looked to win the ball in midfield before attacking quickly. Their best moments came when the wide players combined with the full-backs, stretching Concarneau’s defence. Concarneau, meanwhile, preferred a patient 4-3-3, building from the back and looking to overload central areas. The visitors’ persistence eventually paid off when they increased the tempo in the second half.

The draw was a fair reflection of the match. Bresse Péronnas 01 defended well for long periods but struggled to keep possession as the game wore on. Concarneau created more chances after the break, yet they were also vulnerable to counterattacks. Both managers will have seen positive signs, but both will also feel their side could have found a winner with a little more quality in the final third.

Standout Players

Mamadou Camara was the standout performer for Bresse Péronnas 01, scoring the opener and leading the line with energy. Thibault Rambaud was Concarneau’s most dangerous attacker and took his goal well. Both goalkeepers made important saves, while the midfield battles were intense throughout. The match may not have produced a winner, but it offered plenty of commitment, tactical discipline and late drama in the French Championnat National.

What It Means

The point keeps both teams moving in the early-season standings, though neither will be completely satisfied with a draw. Bresse Péronnas 01 will be pleased with their first-half performance and the resilience they showed late on. Concarneau will take confidence from their second-half response and the way they controlled long spells of possession. In a division where every point matters, this 1-1 result could look more valuable as the season develops.
