Paris FC Women secured a solid 2-0 away victory against Strasbourg Women in the French Division 1 Feminine on September 19, 2026. Goals in each half were enough to see off a determined Strasbourg side and keep Paris FC in touch with the league’s leading pack.

Match Overview

Paris FC controlled the game from the start, dictating the pace and creating the better chances. They took the lead midway through the first half with a well-crafted goal. Strasbourg, urged on by their home support, tried to respond but found Paris FC’s defence difficult to break down. A second goal shortly after the hour mark put the result beyond doubt, and Paris FC managed the closing stages professionally to secure a valuable clean sheet on the road.

Key Moments

• 27th minute: Paris FC break the deadlock with a precise through ball and a composed finish past the goalkeeper.

• 82nd minute: Paris FC’s goalkeeper makes a smart low save to preserve the clean sheet.

Tactical Story

Paris FC set up in a 4-2-3-1, with their attacking midfielder finding pockets of space between Strasbourg’s midfield and defence. They focused their attacks down the left flank, where their winger repeatedly beat her marker. Strasbourg tried to press but left gaps in behind, which Paris FC exploited with direct passes. Defensively, Paris FC sat in a compact 4-4-2 block when out of possession, making it hard for Strasbourg to play through the middle. The visitors’ discipline and organisation were key to keeping a clean sheet.

Standout Performers

Paris FC’s striker, who scored the opener, was sharp and link play effectively. The centre-back who headed in the second goal was a rock at the back, winning every aerial duel. In midfield, the deep-lying playmaker controlled the tempo and rarely gave the ball away. For Strasbourg, their goalkeeper kept the score down with several fine saves, and their captain tried to drive the team forward, but they lacked a cutting edge in the final third.

Season Impact

This win keeps Paris FC firmly in the hunt for a top-three finish and possibly more in the French Division 1 Feminine. The clean sheet is a boost for their goal difference and confidence. Strasbourg, meanwhile, remain in the lower half of the table and will need to find goals quickly to climb away from danger. The three points also give Paris FC a head-to-head advantage that could prove important come the end of the season.
