Tactical Story

EBK, meanwhile, sat deep but lacked the pace to trouble NJS on the break. The sending-off late on summed up a frustrating evening for the visitors, who were second best in every department.

Standout Players

Aleksi Mäkinen was the star of the show, scoring twice and leading the line with intensity. Jussi Virtanen controlled the midfield and added a goal, while full-back Olli Nieminen provided constant width and assists. For EBK, goalkeeper Ville Korhonen made several saves to keep the score respectable, but his teammates offered little going forward.

League Table Impact

NJS move up to third place in the Ykkonen table, closing the gap on the promotion places. EBK Espoo remain in the relegation zone and have now gone four matches without a win. NJS will look to build on this performance as they aim for a return to the top flight, while EBK face a crucial run of fixtures in the coming weeks.
