Full-time: LoPa 2-2 SexyPöxyt

LoPa and SexyPöxyt shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in the Finnish Kolmonen on Saturday, 3 October 2026. The 17:00 kick-off produced an entertaining, end-to-end contest, with both teams leading at different stages before a late equaliser ensured the points were split.

Match overview

LoPa started brightly and took the lead through an early flowing move. SexyPöxyt grew into the game, equalised before half-time, and then went ahead in the second half after a period of sustained pressure. LoPa refused to fold, pushing bodies forward in the final 15 minutes and finding a deserved equaliser. It was a fair result on the balance of play, even if both sides had moments to win it.

Key moments

• 18th minute – LoPa 1-0: Mikael Forss opened the scoring with a first-time finish after a low cross from the left.
• 41st minute – SexyPöxyt 1-1: Teemu Laine levelled with a curling effort from just outside the area.
• 63rd minute – SexyPöxyt 2-1: Jere Niemi put the visitors ahead, converting from close range after a corner was not cleared.
• 85th minute – LoPa 2-2: Oskari Heikkinen rescued a point with a towering header from a free-kick.

Tactical story

LoPa favoured a direct style, looking to turn the SexyPöxyt defence with early balls into the channels. SexyPöxyt preferred to build patiently through midfield, and as the game wore on, their possession began to tell. The visitors’ 4-2-3-1 created overloads in wide areas, but LoPa’s resilience and willingness to defend their box kept them in contention. The late set-piece proved decisive in earning the draw.

Standout players

Heikkinen’s late header made him LoPa’s most important player on the day, while Forss was a constant threat in behind. For SexyPöxyt, Laine dictated much of the attacking play and scored a goal of real quality. Niemi’s movement in the box also caused problems, and the visitors will feel they did enough to win. In the end, both goalkeepers made key interventions to keep the score level.

Kolmonen table impact

The draw gives each club a point in the Finnish Kolmonen standings. LoPa will take confidence from their late fightback, while SexyPöxyt may see it as two dropped points after leading with less than 10 minutes remaining. With the season entering its decisive phase, every point matters in the race for position and momentum.
