KoPa produced a dominant attacking display to overcome STPS 4-2 in an entertaining Finnish Kolmonen clash on Friday night. The home side raced into a three-goal lead before surviving a late STPS fightback to take all three points.

First Half: KoPa Storm to Lead

KoPa started with real intent at their home ground, and it took just 11 minutes for them to open the scoring. A well-worked move ended with Jesse Lampi drilling a low shot into the far corner. The lead was doubled in the 23rd minute when Mikko Korpela rose highest to meet a corner and powered a header past the STPS goalkeeper.

The third goal arrived before half-time — a brilliant solo effort from Tommi Rautiainen, who dribbled past three defenders before slotting home from a tight angle. At 3-0, the game seemed safe.

Second Half: STPS Rally But KoPa Hold On

STPS refused to surrender and pulled a goal back in the 52nd minute through Ville Miettinen, who converted a rebound after a free kick. The visitors then made it 3-2 in the 67th minute when Joni Lehtonen finished smartly from the edge of the area, setting up a tense finale.

KoPa steadied themselves and wrapped up the points in the 81st minute. A swift counter-attack ended with Eero Mäkelä blasting into the roof of the net to restore a two-goal cushion. STPS could not mount another response, and KoPa saw out the victory.
